iPhone 4: The Smartest Phones Use Duct Tape!

Consumer Reports says they can't recommend iPhone 4 because of a flaw. If users put their finger over the antennae gap on the side of the phone the reception drops, and so do your calls.

Fortunately, they have a fix - duct tape! Watch the video:

One thing I don't get is why they think this is a bad thing? Please, let's just call it what it is... a great excuse to duct tape our smart phones! Forget those shiny pink phone covers. You wouldn't use them to fix your lawn mower. Why your phone?

Let's also face the facts here. This thing's a fragile piece of plastic waiting for the next 3-foot drop. The back cover of my current iPhone 3G's been cracking down the middle since last Christmas!

Plus, Apple still hasn't released the iPhone 4 here in Canada. One way or the other, it's going to be me, Apple and a roll of duct tape in a room together. And probably very soon.

Update 07-15: Seems there's a matching duct tape tie for your iPhone.
